About Us
Moment Connects is a collaborative initiative by Moment Pickleball designed to bring people together and reinforce mental well-being through the game of pickleball.
Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences a mental health challenge in a given year, and cultivating supportive social environments can make a meaningful difference. By offering special programs at partnering pickleball facilities, Moment Connects fosters an inclusive space where individuals of all skill levels can engage in physical activity, access resources, and uplift one another.
This community-driven approach aims to strengthen social connections, enhance emotional resilience, and help everyone feel more supported both on and off the court.
We aim to leverage the social and physical benefits of pickleball to create a network of support, inclusivity, and community well-being while promoting mental health.
Our Inaugural Partners and Our Mission
We are proud to announce NAMI Boulder County and 3rd Shot Pickleball as our inaugural partners, working hand-in-hand to ensure the success of the Moment Connects program. Through their local expertise, extensive resources, and commitment to community outreach, we aim to help participants find meaningful connections, foster mental well-being, and strengthen the support networks that extend far beyond the court.
Future Partners
Our mission extends nationwide, with additional NAMI Affiliate chapters and partner pickleball establishments participating in the Moment Connects program. In addition, we aim to host an annual, simultaneous fundraising event with all of our partnering pickleball communities to benefit NAMI, ultimately expanding their mission to provide access to resources for mental health and well-being.
Serve Up Support: Connecting Through Pickleball Play
Moment Connects will provide an easy way to find and join dedicated ‘open play’ sessions, where participants can connect with NAMI representatives, staff from participating pickleball facilities as well as Moment Pickleball "Ambassadors". These open play times create a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering community, while also providing access to mental health resources and connections.

For our Innaugural event, NAMI (Boulder County) representatives will be playing along with everyone. If you would like, you can discuss further support options available to you any time without expectations or pressure.
If you're interested in playing more pickleball in the future, your Moment Connects session offers the chance to meet staff from our partnering local facility and discover special incentives to help you become part of the local pickleball community.
For Pickball Facility Owners
By partnering with Moment Connects, your facility can highlight what the program brings to the community: a welcoming environment designed to nurture mental well-being, strengthen social support, and foster meaningful connections—all facilitated through the game of pickleball.
By sharing stories of participant experiences, showing the positive impact on emotional resilience, and emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the program, you can demonstrate how your destination "connects" others in a deeper way, acting as a catalyst for stronger community bonds, forstering membership loyalty.
NAMI Chapter Across the US
NAMI has a network of more than 700 State Organizations and Affiliates across the country, each dedicated to improving mental health care and support in their local communities. Many of these affiliates provide an array of free programs—ranging from support groups and educational workshops to outreach initiatives—all aimed at helping individuals and families navigate the challenges associated with mental illness.
As the demand for mental health resources continues to rise, these affiliates need increased funding to maintain and grow their services. Your generosity helps ensure that more people have access to timely, effective support and guidance. Every contribution you make strengthens their capacity to offer hope, reduce stigma, and foster positive change.
